Advocate of Election Boycott, Co-founder of the 'No Military Trials For Civilians' campaign

Shahira is a co-founder of the ‘No Military Trials For Civilians’ campaign. She is a democracy activist who advocated a boycott of the recent Egyptian presidential elections – a process she considered to be flawed. Shahira advocated for Michael Nabil, a Coptic Christian who went on hunger strike after being sentenced to three years in jail for insulting the Egyptian military. She is a graduate of the American University in Cairo.
