Human Rights Lawyer
Ragia is a prominent Egyptian Human Rights lawyer and a founding member of the ‘No to Military trials’ campaign group which aims to stop civilians being subjected to military trials by the SCAF. She describes herself as a feminist and human rights activist. She has defended a number of people who were arrested after protests and has been an outspoken critic of the military’s use of virginity tests on female detainees.
