Nader Omran

Spokesman for the Freedom and Justice party

Nader Omran is a spokesman for the Freedom and Justice Party – the political party of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood. The party was formed in 2011 after the revolution which led to Hosni Mubarak’s removal from power. Nader Omran is a founding member of the party, which believes that the Constitution should state that Islam is Egypt’s main religion and that the principles of Sharia should be adhered to while protecting the rights of minority faiths. Mr. Omran is on the FJP Political Committee and more recently is a member of its Foreign Relations Committee.
