Member of the Al Joumhouri party
Houda is a member of the executive bureau of Al Joumhouri – or Republican – party. Al Joumhouri is a coalition of centrist and left wing opposition parties which was formed in January 2012. She was previously an external relations officer in the Afek Tounes party. She has spoken of her personal experiences with political violence and intimidation in Tunisia. Before entering politics, Houda worked as a teacher.
