Political adviser to the Ennahda party
Ahmed Gaaloul is a political adviser to the majority ruling Ennahda party.Ennahda was banned under former President Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali and was legalised by Tunisia’s interim govenment following the revolution. In Tunisia’s first post revolution elections, the party won 41.5 percent of the vote and has the largest majority in parliament. Ahmed lived and studied in the United Kingdom for many years. He is currently a member of the Shura Committee while completing a PhD in Islamic Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
