Businessman and philanthropist
Munib R. Masri is a businessman and philanthropist from Nablus. He returned to the Palestinian Territories in 1994 to support Yasser Arafat in making the two-state solution with Israel into a reality after working for decades in the energy and water sectors and founding the EDGO Group. While working with President Arafat as a minister in his first government, he founded PADICO, the largest private employer in Palestine. Through the Masri family foundation he has supported the arts and education through scholarships and buildings.
