Senior adviser to Turkey's Prime Minister
Etyen Machupyan was born in Istanbul to a Turkish-Armenian family. His background is in journalism and writing. From 2007 to 2010 he was Editor-in-Chief of Agos (a weekly newspaper of the Armenian community). He is a graduate of Robert College where he studied chemistry. He has an MA in International Economics. He was appointed as the Senior Adviser to Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu in October 2014.
