Dr. Mamdouh Aker

Member of the Palestinian Delegation, Madrid Peace Conference

Dr. Mamdouh Aker was a member of the Palestinian Delegation at the Madrid Peace Conference in October 1991 which led to the signing of the Oslo I Accord. Born in Nablus, he studied medicine at Cairo University Medical School before completing his training in the UK at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and Kings College Hospital, London.  Dr Aker is on several Commissions and Boards including the Palestinian Independent Commission for Human Rights and the Higher Committee for the Review of Education in Palestine.  He also attended Palestinian/Israeli bilateral negotiations in Washington (1991-1993)
